The AtWork Management Team
Our management team is comprised of hands-on, experienced staffing experts who are personally involved in our clients’ success.
David Luttrell – President
David began working in the staffing industry in 1988 and opened the first AtWork office in 1993. He is an active member of the Rogersville community, having previously served as president of the local chamber of commerce and currently serving on the Area Youth Council. David has two grown children.
Marty Luttrell – Vice President
A graduate of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, Marty joined AtWork with David in 1994. Married to his wife, Lana, since 1998, Marty has four children (three girls and a son). Marty’s hobbies and passions include everything from running marathons to leading his weekly Bible study at the Northeast Correctional Center.
Samantha Cupp – Director of IT Support
Samantha began her AtWork career as a Staffing Manager in August of 1998, eventually moving up the ranks from there. After wearing dual hats of Rogersville Branch Manager and Risk Control Manager for several years, Samantha was promoted to Regional Manager in 2009. Throughout her AtWork career, she has always played an integral role in IT and system support, eventually assuming the role of Director in 2015. Samantha attended ETSU and Walter State Community College to acquire a degree in computer science. Married to her husband, Mike, since 1997, Samantha has two boys. She enjoys the outdoors, biking and running.
Chelsea Bergland – Regional Manager | Division Director – AtWork Professional
The daughter of co-owner Marty Luttrell, Chelsea began working full time seven years ago, eager to get involved in the family business. In 2011, she helped spearhead the expansion of the company into North Georgia with the inception of our Gainesville, GA location, serving as Regional Manager over that territory for several years. Chelsea currently serves as Regional Manager for our Gainesville, Morristown, Greeneville, and Johnson City offices as well as the head of AtWork Professional, our direct hire division.
Tammy Thompson – Director of Human Resources
After a 14-year stint with Carolina Assemblies in Myrtle Beach, SC, where Tammy worked her way from electronics assembler to HR/Safety Administrator, Tammy became one of the Rogersville, TN office’s first staff members in 1995. After working her way up from Recruiter to Branch Manager and finally to VicePresident of Operations, Tammy and her husband, Ray, felt the call to leave for a four-year mission trip to China in 2009. She returned to us in 2013 as HR/Administration Manager. Tammy is a member of the Hawkins County Personnel Association, the National Association of Professional Women, and SHRM.
Scott Morefield – Director of Marketing
Scott started with AtWork as a Staffing Manager in 1999, eventually taking over the Bristol, TN office as Branch Manager in 2005. After almost a decade, including a two-year stint as both Branch Manager and Social Media Manager starting in 2012, he assumed the role of Director of Marketing in October of 2014. Scott regularly contributes industry-related articles to AtWork’s company blog as well as the staffing industry websites Staffing Talk and The Fordyce Letter. His other articles on various subjects from marriage & parenting to politics have appeared on TheBlaze, WND, Natural News, as well as his own blog, A Morefield Life. Scott holds a bachelor’s degree in human resources as well as an MBA from East Tennessee State University.
Bill Morrell – Director of Safety
Bill’s over 25 years in materials management & safety prior to coming to AtWork in 2005 includes six projects in three states for Fluor Daniel Construction Company as well as a 15-year career with XPEDX, an international paper company which brought him to the East TN area in 1997 via transfer from Augusta, GA. Bill graduated from Milligan College in 1978 with a major in business administration and a minor in human relations. He and his wife, Desi, have been married for almost 30 years and have two grown children.
Mary Wagner – Strategic Business Development Manager
Mary joined the AtWork team in 1996 as a part-time office assistant in Castlewood, VA. Since then, she has worked several positions in two other Virginia offices (Lebanon & Abingdon) before eventually moving to Johnson City, TN, becoming Branch Manager in 2007, then District Manager over Johnson City, Greeneville, and Morristown in 2014. Starting in 2016, Mary accepted the role of Strategic Business Development Manager, where she will be responsible for selling large strategic accounts as well as hiring, training, and coaching sales staff. She has an associates’ degree in business administration from SW Virginia Community College and currently serves as President of the Human Resource Association of Northeast TN.
Tina Leonard – Regional Manager
Tina started working as a Staffing Manager in the Bristol, Tennessee office in 1996, not long after it opened. She served as Bristol’s Branch Manager from 1999 until 2005, when she assumed the role of Regional Manager. Tina’s dedication to her staff and her focus on creating client loyalty through providing the best in customer service has helped fundamentally shape AtWork’s corporate culture. Married since 1997, Tina has a 9-year old daughter.
Suzie Speaks – Regional Manager
Suzie began her AtWork career in our Rogersville office as a Staffing Manager in March of 1998, cross-training in various areas of the business. After a two-year stint as an on-site manager at a client facility, in 2007, Suzie opened the Kingsport Branch as their Branch Manager and was soon promoted to Area Manager upon adding the Duffield, VA office to her territory. In 2014, after increasing the territory once more again include Rogersville, Suzie was promoted to District Manager. Suzie is a member of the Hawkins County Personnel Association, Kingsport Area Safety Council and SHRM. Married to her husband, Terry, since 2000, Suzie has a grown son and enjoys her family, boating, and the outdoors.
Amanda Whaley – Regional Manager
Amanda’s AtWork career began in 1997 when she joined the Bristol, TN team as a Staffing Manager. She and her husband, David, moved to Knoxville in 2004, where Amanda opened and managed a new AtWork branch, and in 2012, a satellite location in Alcoa. Under her leadership, Knoxville/Alcoa has grown to be one of AtWork franchises’ most successful offices. In 2014, Amanda assumed the role of Regional Manager over AtWork’s Knoxville, Alcoa, Sevierville, and Dandridge locations. Married since 1996, she and her husband have one daughter.
